We're back for 2025 with more Murals, more Artists and more Locations...

8 February 2025

The weather is slowly warming up and we've been busy planning the next round of murals to appear in and around Grimsby and Cleethorpes! Welcome back to the Paint The Town project for 2025!

We finished last year on a high with the
Pink Bear mural in Cleethorpes by LUAP and we've been planning this years murals and bringing new artists in to the project.

We've also secured funding for more murals, bringing our goal this year up to a whopping 7 murals to be completed by the end of summer!

We'll have more details to share soon...

We'll be back on Cleethorpes promenade by the end of February to get the mural redrawn on the steps at the back of the Armed Forces Day memorial after having a slight delay last year while the walls were re-rendered.

The vibrant mural designed by Creative Start and Nomad Studio will be painted during March by members of the PTTP Team, Creative Start volunteers, Armed Forces veterans, members of the RNLI and the local community.

Don't forget to come and say 'Hi' if you see us working!

We've been spending some time indoors over the winter working on some new items for merchandise.

Our 'Colour The Town Proud' Colouring book is now available from our online store. The team have also been working with the Studio team at 'The Comeback' on a range of mugs, bags and even flip-flops for the summer!

You can purchase the colouring book at:

This mural has been a truly special one for us, a collective celebration of Cleethorpes, its proud ties to the armed forces, and the unmistakable charm of our seaside town. Designed by Creative Start and Nomad Studio, the artwork captures the spirit and heritage of Cleethorpes in a style that feels right at home on the promenade. What makes this mural even more meaningful is how it came to life, with a dedicated group of artists and individuals in recovery all painting side by side. It’s a great example of creativity, community, and connection. We didn’t promote the mural while it was being created, we wanted the work to speak for itself. Thanks to the amazing support of the We Love Cleethorpes social media group and the wider public, the artwork found its audience in the most genuine way possible. Your encouragement kept us going. As a thank you, we’ve named the mural ‘We Love Cleethorpes’ because this is about all of you, as much as it is about the paint on the wall.

We've been enjoying the spring sunshine on the Cleethorpes promenade as we work on our latest mural to celebrate the town. We're aiming to include as many local references as possible and hoping to create something the whole community can enjoy. We're working with as many local people as possible too, including local artists, Armed Forces veterans, and, of course, the recovery community. We hope everyone enjoys the mural when it’s completed. This is a community project, and anyone is welcome to get involved. Come on down and show your support!
